JAKARTA, MYLIFESTYLE – Pada akhir Oktober 2023, para musisi muda Indonesia, yakni Dimaz Andrean, Jocaso, dan Laura Theux, merilis sebuah single kolaboratif berjudul “Lucky Star.” Single ini resmi dirilis pada 27 Oktober 2023, lengkap dengan sebuah video musik animasi.

Lagu “Lucky Star” ini memiliki latar belakang yang penuh makna. Dimaz Andrean mengungkapkan bahwa lagu ini mengisahkan tentang lingkungan yang positif dan support system yang sangat berarti.

“Meskipun penafsiran bisa berbeda-beda, liriknya spesifik tentang seseorang yang selalu ada dalam suka dan duka,” ujar Dimaz, saat ditemui di Cafe Club Midaz, Jakarta, baru-baru ini.

Jocaso menambahkan bahwa makna “Lucky Star” bisa bervariasi tergantung pada pengalaman pendengar. “Melalui liriknya, lagu ini menggambarkan betapa beruntungnya memiliki seseorang yang selalu memberikan dukungan dan kebahagiaan dalam hidup,” ungkap Jocaso.

Laura Theux menjelaskan bahwa “Lucky Star” adalah lagu yang bercerita tentang seseorang yang sangat berarti bagi mereka bertiga, sebuah bintang dalam hidup. Mereka ingin menyampaikan pesan bahwa setiap orang memiliki bintang dalam hidupnya.

Untuk proses pembuatan lagu “Lucky Star”, memakan waktu hampir satu tahun, dengan tahap produksi yang fokus selama tiga bulan. Dimaz dan Jocaso berperan aktif dalam menciptakan lagu, dari komposisi, aransemen, melodi, hingga lirik. Laura pun ikut terlibat untuk mematangkan materi vokal dalam lagu ini.

Sedangkan video musik “Lucky Star” memiliki konsep animasi yang menarik, mencerminkan tema lagu dengan tepat. Dalam video, Dimaz, Jocaso, dan Laura muncul dalam bentuk karakter animasi yang menarik. Animasi ini dibuat oleh seorang animator Indonesia bernama “Puwaang.”

Salah satu tantangan unik dalam pembuatan “Lucky Star” adalah menggabungkan gaya musik Dimaz dan Jocaso yang berbeda. Kolaborasi ini memungkinkan Jocaso lebih mengembangkan genre EDM di dalam musiknya.

Sementara lirik dari lagu “Lucky Star” juga sangat diapresiasi oleh para musisi. Tiga lirik favorit mereka adalah “I just wanna someone who can hold me tight, gonna live my life with you under the sky” (Dimaz), “You are the light, who’s shining bright. What am I now, without you by my side” (Jocaso), dan “You are my lucky stars” (Laura). Lirik-lirik ini memiliki makna mendalam dan puitis.

Dimaz Andrean, Jocaso, dan Laura Theux berharap, terus berkarya dan berkolaborasi dengan musisi lain di masa depan.
